John Hynes is no stranger to building office towers on spec — that is, starting construction without a tenant pre-leased. Indeed, his firm started construction on the 1 million-square-foot tower at One Lincoln St. in downtown Boston months prior to landing anchor tenant State Street.
Hynes is also no stranger to developing Boston's Seaport District. His firm, Boston Global Investors, was among the earliest real estate development firms on the ground in that now-booming neighborhood, creating a master plan to transform 23 acres of dirt parking lots into a mixed-use development.
